ENEMath Mathematics Event

National Meeting of Mathematics Students

A lecture being given at ENEMath 2019.

Porto University’s Science Faculty invited JTA to sponsor and attend the ENEMath 2019 mathematics event.   Hosted by the faculty, ENEMath started with a series of lectures and, most importantly,  ended with a job fair.  JTA set up our booth, staffed by two of our developers, and prepared to meet the students.

Catarina Alves and Filipe Salgado both did a great job greeting students and answering all their questions about life at JTA.  We really enjoy events like this, because it is very important for students to understand what working life is like and to help them to chose their careers.  This type of meeting can also introduce JTA to prospective candidates, in fact, we have recruited quite a few mathematicians from the university of Porto.

Naturally, our large bowl of sweets helped to attract some interest.  However, we prefer to think that it was our helpful brochure that drew the crowds!
